Micko Sheppard-Capurro was brought up surrounded by boats. He started in small motor boats and then gravitated towards sail as a teenager. He ran the full service Sheppard‘s Marina during the 80’s and 90‘s and now owns and runs Sheppard’s Chandlery and its associated yacht repair and servicing operation. In his spare time he successfully races a classic wooden keelboat at club level and also participates in regional cruiser racing. Micko is considered the go-to person for yacht preparation for owners planning a transatlantic crossing, having been involved in the ARC as originally developed by Jimmy Cornell. Chris is very well known in all boating and yachting circles in Gibraltar. He is both an Engineer and a Lawyer by profession. He specialises in Tax Free Yacht registration. He has coastal engineering project design and contracting experience. On the pure boating side he focuses on the Power side of the range. He has decades of experience in yacht and boat sales plus servicing and repairs. He has second to none knowledge on outboard repowering, propeller pitching and set up and is your point of contact especially for fast boats and large outboards in particular Suzuki ‘Geki’ 350hp outboards.
